Pictures under the category "other" (Dustin)

Here are a few more pictures of what has been going on around our Allen household.

Lindy got an umbrella a while ago that she has been treating as a toy, but last Friday, it finally came down and she got to use it for what it was intended. She was quite tickled.

Bianca is all bundled up, appropriate since the high dropped over 20 degrees on the day it rained.

Here are Lindy and I playing at the park. Bianca is hanging on for dear life in her backpack. Don't worry, she is appropriately strapped in.

Lindy loves her tricycle, she has gotten quite good at it. she will usually backpedal to stop and has gotten fasi enough to hop up the curb onto the sidewalk.

Here is Lindy playing with Bianca. Now if we could just get her to do so without strangling Bianca, we would be in business.

Pat's visit and Abish's B-day (Dustin again)

Last week Pat came to visit during Abish's birthday. It was great to have her here.

Lindy was ecstatic when she found, out when would ask us about every 20 minutes if Granny was almost here. Granny and Lindy got along great.

Bianca took a little longer to warm up to her, but soon she warmed up too. That is great, because it allowed me to take Abish out for her birthday (on the day before). We went to dinner (Bajio) and a movie. The only movie we were really interested in seeing was The Dark Knight, but we found out when we got to the theatre that it was only playing in the Imax. Turns out that the tickets we bought at Costco worked with the Imax too, so we got to have our first Imax experience and see the movie we wanted. It was a great date.

On Abish's actual birthday we went to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast, followed by a walk in the park and finally we tried to go to the temple. We didn't make it into a session, because the matron thought the 2:00 session had already gone in and they don't have a 2:30 session at the Boise temple. Instead we just sat in the foyer for a bit, then Abish looked at some dresses and we went to eat at the Olive Garden and hurried back so that Pat could catch her flight.

Above is the cake Lindy and Pat made for Abish, another excitiing experience for Lindy.

Yes, there are 30 candels there on the cake. We were pushing the sensitivity of our smoke detectors on this one.

Abish loved the flowers that my mom sent her.

Twin Falls: this is what happens when you leave the blogging to the husband

No, my voice has not been lowered, it is Dustin. I am still using Abish's user info, because I can't be bothered to figure out how to create my own. Anyway, Abish has been very busy with her new job as a scrap book layout/kit designer at PGD (Pixel Gypsy Designs)...so she has left the blogging to me. You can tell what a bang up job I have been doing with it for the last month or so, but that is all about to change. We are all very proud of Abish and how she has really put herself into this digital scrap booking design gig. Sometimes I get frustrated trying to explain to people what it is she does, then I remember that I am in photo lithography. Here is some fun stuff that has been going on with us since last Abish blogged.
We went to Twin Falls for the temple open house. It was beautiful, peaceful and the kids were as well behaved as can be expected, it was fantastic.

The temple isn't the only great thing in Twin, the Christensens also live there. Lindy and Ryan became fast friends. After playing together for a while at the Christensens', on the way to the bark they were already saying that they were best friends. The park was perfect for releasing some of the energy pent up during the temple tour.

Here is Bianca starting to warm up to Aunt Dana. She eventually let Dana hold her. Michael and Dana were great and we appreciate very much them having us over. Thanks, guys!!

Shoshone falls, one of the "twins," very pretty.

Completely unrelated, but Bianca has moved from army crawling to walking along the furniture and crawling on all fours. She will stand at times, and even takes a step every once in a while, but still lacks the confidence to do any serous walking. She is as cute as a button.
